Companies That Provide Carbon Neutral Shipping

While today’s society has been made convenient with the ability to buy almost anything online—its proving detrimental to our environment with an increasing number of shipping vehicles on the road, which increase carbon emissions. Although buying less is always the best option, there are situations when buying online is a necessity, or makes more sense.

In order to help fight climate change, many brands are moving towards sustainability, with carbon neutral shipping.

What is Carbon Neutral Shipping?

Carbon neutral shipping means that the seller either requests that the shipping company, or they themselves, to engage in activities that help offset carbon emissions from shipping vehicles on the road.

For example, you can request carbon neutral shipping with UPS. When shipping with their carbon neutral option, UPS will support projects that offset the emissions of the shipment’s transport. They list the following projects on their website, which include reforestation, landfill gas destruction, wastewater treatment, and methane destruction.
